FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING ONLINE GIVING
· Do I have to create an account to donate online?
No, you do not need to create an account. If you choose, you may give as a “guest”, in which, you do not need to create an account.
· What is the difference between giving as a “guest” or “registered user”?
By creating an account, as a registered user, you are able to view your history of giving and print receipts and reports of your giving. Giving as a “guest” will create an email verifying your contribution. However, the church will not be able to place this contribution on your giving record as giving as a guest is similar to placing loose cash in the offering plate.
· Is this a safe website to use?
Yes. The actual financial transaction and all information associated with your giving occurs on a site. NCS Services, the parent company of e-giving, is an industry leader in online processing of charitable contributions and safeguards all information at the highest standards.
· Can I give just once?
Yes. After entering your offering amount you will be able to select if the payment is to be a one-time gift or a recurring gift.
· Can I set up my tithe as a recurring gift to withdraw automatically from my account?
Yes. You can create an offering to be recurring on a schedule you set up to withdraw from your account. If you desire to give a gift outside of the recurring gift, you can enter a one-time gift without disrupting your recurring giving.
· Can I designate where my monetary is applied?
Yes. The system will require you to type your offering amount into the category of budget or our most frequently used designated offering accounts. If you want to give to a designated offering account that is not listed, you will have to submit that offering by way of an offering envelope.
